Good lymph flow provides strong, flexible muscles and joints, elastic connective tissue and can make you less swollen and stiff.
Symptoms of problems with the lymphatic system include, for example, unclean and swollen skin, cellulite
headaches, tension in the neck and sleep problems.
Causes of problems with the lymphatic system can be too little physical exercise, poor diet, stress, smoking and dehydration.
The best way to overcome the problems is to help the lymph flow through a so-called lymphatic drainage. Since the lymphatic system lacks a pump like the heart does for the blood system, we need to keep moving for the lymph to do its job.
The face, for example, needs microstimulation and daily lymphatic drainage to avoid swelling and for us to get the healthy, clear skin we want.
The lymph is located just under the skin and lymph stimulation in the form of light massage and simple lymph drainage movements can be done frequently and is suitable for inclusion in your daily skin care routine.
Microstimulation with the fingers opens up the lymphatic vessels so that the lymph can flow further.
You therefore gently stroke or press the skin with slow circular movements.
All lymph nodes are opened with circular movements and then the lymph is guided by light strokes with the fingers from the center of the face outwards.
This can also be done with a brush or gua sha stone. All lymphatic vessels have valves that keep the lymph flowing in one direction, so it is important to always work with the lymph and not against it.
Lymphatic drainage can also be performed all over the body through light and long strokes that go towards the groin, armpits and sternum where we have accumulations of lymph nodes.
There are many instructional videos online that show how to do it.
