Project one: The preschool in Philippi Townshi
With a fantastic network we came into contact with the organization African Sunrise Volunteering and internship and Taina Sincic who is Co-Director of the organization. Through this great network we have come into contact with a preschool in Philippi Township that really needs our help! We will work with two parallel collections and distribute them when we arrive in South Africa 11 - 16 February.
Project two: Pinnocciho Preschool
We will also support a fantastic project Pinocchio Crèche founded by Mrs Maggie Oewies Shongwe and her daughter Helen Shongwe. Their goal is to help children of women and men who otherwise would not be able to afford to send their children to education. The money here will go to materials that they need in their education! THE COLLECTIONS
1. The Jokkmokk people are sending children's clothes!
In order to be able to handle this practically, we will collect children's clothes in Jokkmokk and take them to Cape Town and the preschool in Philippi Township. This collection will continue until 9/2 - clothes in Size 6 months - 5 years will be gratefully received in the bag that will be placed at Skönhetsfabriken in Jokkmokk Hantverkargatan 25! When the bag (it is large) is full, the collection will close.
2. SWISH A COIN UNTIL FEBRUARY 11, 2019
Anyone who wants to is warmly welcome to Swisha a coin to the preschools! They have expressed that they are happy to receive money so they can buy food, diapers and materials - we will distribute the money fairly between the two projects we have chosen to collaborate with.

FACTS African Sunrise Volunteering and Internships
African Sunrise based in the Mother City places volunteers and Interns from abroad at various NPO's. We are a small team of women who strive to bring about change in the Cape Town area by not only providing volunteers and interns with great life-changing projects but by also getting very involved!
FACTS Rainbow Fund
The purpose of the foundation is to financially help LGBTQ people all over the world as well as individuals, preferably in countries where LGBTQ people are persecuted and harassed by authorities, police and religious institutions. The foundation's funds may not go to organizations or individuals who work in a racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, misogynistic or otherwise do not respect human rights.
